Rush's,
"A Passage to Bangkok"
Our first stop is in Bogota
 To check Colombian fields
The natives smile and pass along
 A sample of their yield
 Sweet Jamaican pipe dreams
 Golden Acapulco nights
 Then Morocco, and the East,
 Fly by morning light
A real treasure trove this song. This is the first verse and gives us Bogota (Capital of Colombia), then Colombia itself. Jamaica (Caribbean island), then Acapulco (coastal city in southern mexico) and finally Morocco - a country in north Africa. Clearly the band had an atlas out when writing this song as the chorus and second verse also have places for us - but these will be in a separate post.

Rush's,
"A Passage to Bangkok"
We're on the train to Bangkok
 Aboard the Thailand Express

This is the chorus and yields Bangkok (capital of Thailand) and Thailand itself (country in south east Asia formerly known as Siam)

Rush's,
"A Passage to Bangkok"
Wreathed in smoke in Lebanon
 We burn the midnight oil
 The fragrance of Afghanistan
 Rewards a long day's toil
 Pulling into Katmandu
 Smoke rings fill the air
 Perfumed by a Nepal night
 The Express gets you there
This is the second verse of the song. Lebanon and Afghanistan are countries in the Middle East. Katmandu is a city in Nepal and finally Nepal, a country in the Himalayas between China and India.
