The Lyrics
This is a song based off a statement that God makes in Genesis 6:3- "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years." If you check the geneology in Genesis 5, some of these guys were living to be almost 1000 years old, but not any more. Those guys had a lot of time to spare, but now we got 120 years to live. (Genesis 5:1-32, 6:3; Psalm 39:4-5; Ecclesiastes 12:1; James 4:14)
