Well, with about 16,000 signatures and counting, the petition from change.org to sell Montana to Canada is still going. Initially taken as a joke, I had heard that Montana will have a vote (or referendum) on this April 1st (lol). Even after the 15-5 result last time. There were two alternative, and obvious, choices that would have worked on this. Frank Zappa's Montana song has an odd spoken word, jazz vibe that I can't work around. Also, it is too long and would make it look too much like a tourism track. Montana's state song itself: short, sweet, and simple, but transposing the song into a new Canadian province did not flow right. I would allow for someone else to pull off that feat, and I will retract this submission. This is just me being a temper-mental artist. I little bitter about the Oscar results. Enjoy this song.
