The Lyrics
The Ju-388 Stortebecker was one of the Luftwaffe's last best night fighters built in 1944 as a Mosquito-chaser but with slightly lower performance it became a Lanc(aster) bomber killer during the RAF night raids. It was powered by 2x 1890 hp BMW 801TJ engines with turbochargers and four-bladed props for a speed of 362 mph (the L-1 recce version attaining 407 mph clean). It was armed with 2x 30mm MK-108 plus 2x 20mm MG-151/20 cannons up front with addition of 2x 20mm MG-151 oblique cannons in the aft fuselage for raking the belly and engines of the intruding bomber. It was fitted with FuG 218 Neptun radar with Morgenstern aerial array, sometimes enclosed in a conical nose. It could reach 44,000 ft to reach any Allied bomber and had a range of 1838 miles on internal fuel. The Stortebecker was named after a famous German pirate. Although it performed well as a night fighter, production was limited due to the urgent need for an Emergency Fighter for 1945 (the He-162). Other Ju-388s were the K-model bomber and L-1 recce aircraft.

Kinda looks like the airplane that they used in Indiana jones Raiders of the Lost Ark to transport the ark in, You know, where that guy got chopped up by the propeller! ;-) Great parody too! 5's for this one! :-)
The plane in ROTLA was a flying wing fabrication not really based on the Horten wings nor Koehl's KO-1. The Ju-388 is one of my favorite German a/c in the 300 series, another being the Me-309.
