Now that it's a bit safer (I hope) to write a political parody around here...
Not a great choice, now we need better candidates
Sad but true, there's something wrong with each of them

First there is ole' Hillary (her husband's Bill)
Some think she's been touched by scandals
Female, she's the first and could make history
Very good at well-timed crying
How can we choose among these problem candidates?
Every one has something wrong with him or her

Inspiring speech changed subject
I fear his advisors are too radical
Masterfully diverts attention

Finally there's the red state guy, John McCain
He might be a little senile
He is not too eager to end The Wrong War

I wish I had a better choice than these three
I'd prefer Al Gore, Bill Bradley
This is not the best selection we can do
And election day frightens me

Seem so, or might some of it be blamed on zero tolerant media scrutiny...I think if Lincoln, Washington, or Kennedy were candidates today, they'd all end up terribly tainted
This parody would be OK if it rhymed a little bit more.
AFW--yeah, you're probably right. If we'd known what we know now about JFK's extramarital stuff, I wonder if Nixon would have won in 1960. JJ--y'know, you're right! The OS doesn't rhyme much either so I guess I took my cue from that. Thanks for the constructive criticism,, that's what I need.
