Speaking of needing a shrink, I'm having major issues here. I've loved the OS forever...but as I listen...it's not matching with this...(I've got an extra verse and chorus in the middle...and some small pacing issues)...which isn't very Spaff-ish at all. It's kind of freaking me out. I've got the 2005 release, though...and I'm wondering if the T's altered it with the re-release in 2007. Must have done...as I said, I can't see you leaving a verse out.

The original goes verse-verse-chorus-verse-verse-chorus-bridge-verse-chorus and is over four minutes long. Like I do with some of my other stuff, I wrote this with the hope of it getting recorded and aired; a parody that long wouldn't stand much chance, so I cut out a verse-verse-chorus. If anybody wants to give me low marks because of that, I'll accept it and live. Oh, and consider "listeners" and "prisoners" two-syllable words, if that helps. And the PWT guy pronounces "it's what" throughout as one syllable, so I used that. Other than all of those things, the scansion should be spot-on - and brilliantly so. Heh heh.

It's about time someone had the courage to stand up and declare that the terrorist problem can be solved with a group hug. Unfortunately, your ice cream issue is more complex, since it comes in so many flavors.

I'm convinced that only al-Qaida members can pronounce (not to mention spell) "al-Qaida," but non-members here in the states commonly pronounce it "al-KAY-duh" or "al-KY-duh." I find that second one to be a particularly lovely sub for "Delilah." I must not be the only one who thinks so; there's a different parody called "hey there Alqueda" on YouTube. No doubt, Max. And who wants virgins anyway? I agree with the lyrics to "The Sadder But Wiser Girl" from The Music Man. (It's from 1962 but the song is still so scandalous that they cut it from our recent community theater production.)
