The Lyrics
Weird Al took the lines of the original Dylan song, "Subterranean Homesick Blues", and made each one home to one or two PALINDROMES, i.e. phrases that read the same backward and forward. The title "Bob" is a simple one-word palindrome, but his video satire of Dylan's song, on You-tube is masterful. There are a few hundred other examples of palindromic phrases; I composed half of those chosen here for my own parody, took the others from published lists.

You are an intellectual writer, but this exercise is a one-trick pony lacking human interest. No vote.
@Otto: Have to agree that most palindromes are amusing nonsense.However, within the rigid parody-paradigm, there are themes of human interest. The structure of Mercer's iconic Panama canal palindrome, and canal themes were imitated wherever possible, subject to rhyming. Also, the "Odd Al" line is a weird paean to the inventor of singable palindromes. Some lines reflect a Canadian theme, including 3 invented 'dromes related to T.O.'s populist Cadillac-driving subway-thumping mayor. I must admit I blew the chance, v4line2, to include, "Now, Roy, I am a mayor won." To sum up, check v3line2 - "To pseudonym enemy, no due spot." GioLio.
