The stuff in (parenthesis) are of the background vocals singing “Baby”. At first I was annoyed, thinking “what the heck am l gonna do with that?”. But I came up with what I came up with, and I think was able to inject a little more humor to the parody than if I had just ignored them, which was my first instinct. -bas

Again it’s got to be..fixed!
The TARDIS is better than new. Ready to blaze!
I asked what T-A-R-D-I-S stands for.

Even with just the basic grasp of Doctor Who I was able to follow this rather easily and I found this to be a great tribute to a supposedly great show (I think I’ve seen less than a handful of episodes)
Excellent tribute, Brad! Matthias, you gotta watch the Christopher Eccleston or David Tennant years to really get into it---or, for old school, Tom Baker (but disregard the horrible special effects).

That's pretty much what I often do when I want to mark something as background vocals. There are no fixed rule or rules for it, but you've probably nailed the most commonly used technique for that "solution" to a lyrics problem right off the bat.

I don't think I've seen a whole episode, but I follow enough Whovians on Twitter to enjoy this great little tribute. I especially like how you worked in what TARDIS stands for. 555 sonic screwdrivers!
Thank you, everyone. It's cool that both the "Who!" AND the "who?" crowd can enjoy this musical tip-of-the-fedora to Doctor Who. It was cool to take an original song someone else had given us, come up with new title that might inspire a funny idea, and then work around that..in a week! It really helped to hone the lyric-writing skills, and I had fun doing it! And then, on top of that, for my fellow lyric-writers to be able to check it out and comment...priceless (the 5-star reviews and kind words don't hurt)! Again, thank you mucho. BTW, I have other stuff on this site. Check it out, if you're so inclined. (Any-) Ways..You guys rock, but I gotta roll! (okay, that was just goofy) Blessings. My God, Phil Alexander was hit with a Katyusha rocket barrage of 66 one-bombs a few weeks ago .. and he's a professional stand up comedian who incorporates song parodies in his act

Hey Brad - definitely don't let 1-votes get to you, they *never* mean it's a bad parody, it usually means you've struck a nerve (take this one for example: http://www.amiright.com/parody/80s/neilyoung10.shtml ..though probably best to avoid the comments unless you want your brain burned out by teh stoopid).. but CML is being a bit too kind, in that I'm not a professional standup. Yet :-)

Hey, CML. How did you know I had gone to your entry pages? I mean, I thought people could only see comments by going back to that song, or maybe perusing the comments "column". Are those the only two options? You mentioned something about getting a link, or something (I think 25 [entries] is now the new 10). Do new comments about old entries somehow get sent to your email? Just wondering how that works. Thanks.
^^^^My steel trap logical processes just got the best of me Brad (lol) ...... I inject myself into a situation where it looks like some wretch is about to drive a newbie off the site. Next thing you know the newbie is posting comments on my threads, which show up in the Latest Comments section. And oftentimes, there are only a few comments posted in a day; which means my initials "CML" will jump out at me the instant I see the page. And yes, any comment posted on any thread, even if it's 15 years old shows up in the latest comments section
CML, If it were only me and no mortgage or children to support, I could probably make a living at it. But too many other responsibilities at the moment. Sigh. :-)
