My recent "MAD Mari" parody about The Duncans notwithstanding (what does "notwithstanding" mean anyway? Ah, who cares, I just like its impressively pompous sound), this satirical swipe at the whole "tribute parody" concept is brilliant! 555 . . . okay, somebody out there, please, write and post a gushing and embarassing tribute to Claude Prez - now THAT would be sweet justice! ;-D

Wow, two tributes to me on the same day? I really must be as cool as I think I am. I'm not so sure I like the part where I go blind and get pooped on by birds, but lines like "If I were decisive...but then again no" will help me get over it. This is exceptional.

I'd have to say that I found this parody to be quite close to the OS when I sang it with my name in place of the blanks since it has three syllables that are similar in accent to the corresponding part of the OS. Other three-syllable names with accenting on the same syllables as mine (such as Alvin Rhodes, Airfarcewon, Johnny D., among others) would work just as well. 5s to you.

I tried substuting "John Doe" but it didn't work out too good. Then I tried "Johnny Doe" which fit the pace better. Why "Johnny Doe" - because I couldn't think of anyone who would actually want their real name in there. This is so in your face on tributes - I love it. I wish I knew the history of "tributes" better than I do - and I'm glad I wrote you a dedication, not a tribute, heh heh. This was funny as all, but, in an honest evaluation, I had problems singing the last verse to the OS... maybe because I'm not Elton John.

Leaving "Your Name Here" normally I'd say--uh recordings? but leaving it just as Your Name Here for singing was hilarious Claude, very well done!
