This is a blatant rip-off of Merry & Pippin’s idea for this OS but I saw their one and then kept getting these alternative lines in my head. They were both OK with me posting this.
Tina’s Ike was a bothersome pest
Passed away coz, on coke, he was messed
Randy Rhoads was scared to fly
Mangled up when the plane fell out the sky
Stevie Ray in a ‘copter in the sky
Some dodgy pilotin’ killed that guy
Bob the Bear was too lardy I guessed
So heart attack after pains in the chest

“Sonny Bono couldn’t ski” – yes, I know skiing was one of his hobbies but it sure sounds like he couldn’t do it very well!
Kirsty = Kirsty MacColl (died 2000). Astonishing (or astonishingly corrupt) that someone can be found guilty of homicide in Mexico but walk free from court and serve no prison time if they pay a $90 fine. The Mexican millionaire boat owner (owner of Comercial Mexicana hypermarkets) said that one of his workers was in control of the boat, but numerous witnesses said that he wasn’t. It was the worker who was found guilty but got off with the fine (which was paid by his boss – as was a nice little sweetener for taking the rap). I wonder what would happen if a relative or friend of Kirsty went to Mexico and murdered the Mexican millionaire. Do you think that he would be allowed to pay his $90 fine and then fly home and forget all about it?

Fine job...you've done your research well...I must admit, I didn't recognize some of the names, so looked 'em up...

Mexico has nothing on us! I deliberately let a girl drown in my car, didn't call for help, left the scene of a fatal accident, and should have gone up for manslaugher. Fine: Zero. Punishment: 6 months' suspension of driver's licence, like that's a big deal for a guy who gets chauffeured everywhere. Reward: 40 more years as a US Senator.
Glad you did not include the three most famous, as some guy named McLean tributed them in what has become a classic (and oft-parodied in tribute), and they were totally innocent, whereas it sounds as though some of these spirits weren't exactly the nicest people around. Here's $555 bailout money for you, courtesy of US taxpayers.
btw, it's called an "inspiration", and one says in the intro, "Inspired by M/P's same title switch of (date)", or put in an actual link to the song that inspired you. Always a high honor to inspire others to new creative ideas. Too bad I (Ted) didn't have any...

Andy - yours was much more violent than ours! But hence, funnier! Poor Steve M; I always cringed thinking of his fiery death, but you made it giggleable. Too bad you couldn't have worked Les into the same verse; two sides of fries for the price of one... We could probably fill up a lot of these...

Right on all, except Gene Vincent...I remember him..but hadn't heard how he died
Yeah, I made a mistake there because I forgot that Gene Vincent was American. I got him mixed up with a UK 50's rocker Johnny Kidd (& The Pirates). He's the one that you may not know, although he did have a UK number 1 single with "Shakin' All Over" in 1960. I was trying to fit him into the parody (he died in a car crash in the mid 60's).
