This writer's tribute to Tommy Turtle last Thursday, Feb. 4, wasn't just puffery. I wanted to get this parody in Sunday night for today, while football and Favre's possible return next season were still hot topics. After 2 hours of working on it, it was about 2/3 done. Sent it to The Turtle-burrow with a cry for help, and the alien being finishes it off in 45 minutes or so... See? SEE? He is *not* of this planet!

TJC - Don't sell yourself short, as many of those extra-clever lines are pure TJC (no disrespecTT intended). Devastatingly funny as a late hit. Believe it or not, the original Rolf in TSOM on Broadway (therefore the boy who introduced this song) was Jon Voight! ;D

I've known for years that there weren't many QB's who could make a pass like Favre, but imagine my sorrow and chagrin to find out the extent of it all... Nevertheless, this parody "Packs" a punch! A few fave lines: "Older and Heiser' ", and the "au jus" (shocked, appalled, blushing, etc., but L-ingOL just the same!) 555 :)

You're never going to believe this, but the "shocked, appalled, blushing, etc." phrase was in TJC's very first draft. (I'm innocent! I'm innocent! *He* corrupted *me*! ;)
