Song Parodies -> "Stoopin’"

Original Song Title:

"Groovin'"

Original Performer:

The Young Rascals

Parody Song Title:

"Stoopin’"

Parody Written by:

John A. Barry

The Lyrics

Stoopin’s what he often has to do,
drooping down because his height’s 8’ 2”.
As center he gives the fans endless pleasure—
their delight, his height almost beyond measure .
His presence insures victory, because he’s
loomin’ past centers just 7’ 2”.
Spookin’ them is what he’s meant to do.

In human height he is at the apogee
Because his growth spurt never atrophied.
His peepers and bottom of the net meet, not
Stoopin’, standing in the paint just two
seconds, then he’s back to block the view—
No scores for foes.

“How is the air up there?” people will say.
He doesn’t laugh and tells them, “Go away.”
Against him all opponents fear to play
’cause they take fecklessly shots…blocked effortlessly.

Stewin’ are opponents when they shoot.
Shootin’ him they’d love, to make him moot.
So they do so.

“Boom” from muzzle of gun.
