I decided four things upon seeing the movie "Chicago" (which I did around the time The War began): It was a terrific musical, I love Catherine Zeta-Jones more than ever, I still can't stand Richard Gere (Jerry Orbach did the song in the original musical), and that this song would be perfect for Our Fearless Appointed Wartime Leader Who Must Never Be Questioned Lest Ye Be Branded Unpatriotic. Trouble was, I would barely have had to change a word. But what happens when "the old razzle-dazzle" has gone fizzle-drizzle? What happens is, there's my chance!
Gave us the old fizzle-drizzle.
Fizzle-drizzled us.
Gave us an act with lots of lies in it.
There's gray skies in it.
Count the flies in it.
Gave us the old focus-joke-us.
Stumblin', stammerin'.
Now we can see, no sequins in our eyes!
He was the man we all were trusting.
Then he went busting.
He's so disgusting!
Fizzle-drizzled us
'cause we now have caught wise!

Yes, I know, the original had four verses and this has five. I saw a way to use both "nucular" and "polemical" and couldn't resist. Some things haven't changed in four years: We're still in Bush's war, I still don't like him, I still don't like Richard Gere, and I still love Catherine Zeta-Jones. "But I can't do it alone!"
