Excellent job on this difficult tune, expecially admire your work with the inner rhyming..I've done this old tune a time or two, myself, so I know how tricky it can be.
(Amiright Idol) You brought something quite unusual to the table, Melanie. This is quite a bit of fun...not necessarily funny all around, but clever just the same. I worry though about the recording aspects of this, because of the Disco cover you have worked with. Dave's music sources are more likely to have a traditional performance, not the Salsoul Orch. arrangement. All told though, you put this together really nicely. 555

(ABC) fun to follow as it moves in and out of lyrics and instrumental - gotta say I've never even heard that song before let alone try to parody it. Still a pretty fun parody Mel, good job on this one. . .I know I've commented before as I was an Idol judge--but it must have been in the message board, so props again on the actual parody.
I think the only other writer here to put words to instrumental parts of a song with lyrics was Paul Robinson. Never heard this OS until now... it was admittedly a bit hard to follow the lyrics, but I definitely dug the idea and execution.
I see I commented on this back in 09.....I like yours better than mine...Had I remembered, or checked Search, I would have given you first use credit...
