Yes, Dylan, the original song is awesome, but I think that the parody is better, having missed out on the 1970s by being born in 1980. As for what I think about Chinese takeout, I prefer Sarku or Sakkio Japanese-style teriyaki chicken, and anyone who reads any of Dylan's parodies will find out that he is obsessed with Chinese food. (Sorry, Dylan)

It is appropriate that "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (with Nurse Ratched) won the Academy Award for best picture in the middle of the decade. But there's nothing cuckoo about this fun spoof of the decade. Well done, Stuart.

I'm kinda glad I was too young in the 70s to get most of these references, heh heh. 27 shades of brown was inspired, and I'm going to Google Pam Dawber in a minute here - I don't recall her in "These Women I Desire". 15-15-15 (that's a set of 5s in the 70s, now adjusted for inflation)

Stu, I grew up in the 70s and I still remember them fondly as the decade of conspicuous consumption, where love, peace and save the world turned into sex, drugs and rock and roll... Some of your 70s icons in the parody are pretty scary, but then somehow I always mentally cut the decade off after 1973.. ;-D

Thanks Merry - it's interesting - what we think of as the sixties were really the years 1963-1973, and the seventies are really 1973-1983 - it seems to take a couple of years before a decade gets the confidence to find its feet

thanks Rex - yes the lens sometimes gets blurry from my teardrops of nostalgia, but otherwise it's really neat - it also manages to retrosepctively predict all the mistakes I've made in my life

(Artistry) I don't know why, exactly, but as soon as you said "Chinese Takeout" I got up, paused the video and ordered Chinese, you made me realize I'm hungry! Good parody, although you've got a few lines in the beginning that I was surprise were left untouched, but we all know sometimes that's necessary especially when you are changing the context of the song within' the same realm of the OS. That said, good job, and I'm eating Chinese tonight--totally irrelevant, I know, but dang I'm hungry.
