The Lyrics
Story of the Hughes-Kaiser HK-1 (aka, the Spruce Goose), a very famous and world's largest aircraft for several decades with the longest wingspan. But to me it looks remarkably similar to the German Bv-222 only larger and with greater span. During WW2 it was the Germans that had the largest a/c with the Bv-238 that was strafed by marauding P-51s. Hughes missed WW2 with the HK-1 but flew it only once in 1947 to demonstrate that the beast could fly if for 1 minute, covering less than 1 mile at 93 mph at 80 feet altitude...

The P&W 3000 hp engines for the HK-1 were also not THAT impressive since German flying boat projects would have taken the Deutz DZ 710 3100 hp motors or twinned DZ 720 at 6200 hp!!!
