I used to think the original song did say "carry a laser." I figured it was about a guy giving someone some survival tips for a sci-fi kind of situation. ("If you want to survive your trip down Glory Road, you've got to carry a laser.")

Hahahaha good stuff all 5s!!! Laser pointers are dangerous if they are pointed in one's eye, can cause permanent eyesight damage, a mate told me he pointed a laser pointer at a sign 500 m away in the night and the whole sign lit up bright red!!! The song does sound like "Carry a laser" too. This song brings back childhood memories for me as I heard it back around 1986 when I was 5 and living in Tasmania, I was trying to get a hold of this song for a while as I forgotten the band and title and after searching through countless 80s albums sound samples on allmusic.com finally found it whew!!! Your parody was great and the original is great too!
