Over the past few years there have been so many mispronunciations of Arabic and Russian names that I feel I must deploy my powers of song parody to set the record straight. FYI, the deposed Syrian tyrant's last name is Al Asad which means "The Lion" in Arabic. I'll be making a stupid pun about that ... First stanza is about Russian place names, to include Bucha, where a Russian war crime supposedly happened in early stages of the war

*It's a form of "heavy H", as in the German "achtung" ...... There are no silent h's in Arabic; in fact there are THREE different h sounds ...... **Seh-HO-di isn't exactly accurate, but it's a hell of lot closer to Sa'udi than Sowdy. That diacritical mark is a consonant which makes Sa'udi a three syllable word

Fun way to learn how to properly pronounce Ilhan Omar's name. Imagine Goldie Hawn getting drunk for the first time as a teenager. Likely she'll drink way too much, and, at some point she'll be obliged to make her obeisance to the Porcelain God. And if saw this, you might say to yourself, "That is one hell of an ILL HAWN" Then picture yourself talking to Omar Sharif .. You might say, "That is definitely an ill Hawn, Omar"
