When you're closing in on a parody milestone, there is a tendency to sacrifice quality for quantity. When I got to 800, I wrote "The Block of a Writer In Peril." These things happen...
I took my troubles down to Amiright.
You know the place that makes you laugh all night.
I got to write lots of funny, witty lines.
But it seems I'm stuck on... Number 999.
I told 'em that I got some writer's block.
I've been this way since Sunday, five o'clock.
I looked at the page, and I'm falling way behind.
Somehow, I've got to write up... Number 999.
I got up and turned around and gave it a grunt.
I said I'm gonna find the right way to end this hunt.
I said, "Bush is really screwing up our government."
It was the parody equal... of a weak bunt.
I didn't know if I could get it right.
I started sending all my stuff to the site.
But when I got some ones, well, I started then to whine.
I should've worked much harder on... Number 999.
