            The Lyrics

The revolt is gonna' doom ya
They abhor: Man, Tripoli
He treats like herd of cattle
They want fairness; grant: be free
First, in Cairo; Alexandria
Were the people's valor seen
Now, out loud, acclaim the rightful --
Dues to all hu-man-i-ty
'Spite gag, whole world, in Lib'ya, sees
Poor pawns. Rights? Getting none
No free thought; protest: a crime? Disgrace:
Un-armed man shot with gun   [1]
Freedom's growing more in Arab lands
As so many flock: street scenes
Their goal: grind Gadhafi down, the slob!
And uniting is their means
To Hell with you forev-ermore
Which you, no doubt, deserve
So many are rife; crowds taunt; risk life
So brave; ac-cost with verve
Coup by Army; ride train, gravy   [2]
Bottom, took, among regimes   [3]
Though his threat: his peeps bombarded   [4]
*He'll* be blown to smithereens!

[1] Very early in this event, Anderson Cooper of CNN, and his web site probably, showed a cell-phone video of police opening fire on unarmed, non-violent protesters. At least one man was killed; he became a martyr whose funeral attracted most of the city, it seemed.
[2] Gadhafi came to power in a military coup in 1969.
[3] A human-rights group ranked Libya and North Korea tied for last place; i. e., tied as the two most repressive regimes on the planet.
[4] Unlike the restraint exercised by the Egyptian government, Gadhafi has used his own military to shoot and bomb the protesters. Funny thing, though -- a couple of his pilots have flown their fighters out of the country and requested asylum instead (i. e., "defected"), and a group of Libyan army officers called upon fellow soldiers to "join the people"..... Does a ton of bricks have to fall on you, Sir?
