It does still apply. Trump was right. The election was rigged. He won. Only by the Electoral College. That's why I signed a petition yesterday for a Constitutional Amendment to abolish the Electoral College.
DJT is a workaholic. He will thrive on serving. I was surprised that he was talking about golf and I thought there was hope for him until Josh told me that there was another kind of golf spelled G-U-L-F. Who'd a thunk it?
Not much hope for that amendment, Jo. You need two thirds of both houses of Congress, plus two thirds of state legislatures to amend the Constitution. Half the country will oppose this in Congress. An even bigger hurdle is the states -- Trump won 30 states. Two thirds of the state legislatures are controlled by Republicans; you wont get a Democratic dominance there for decades, no matter what happens

But of course -- An amendment can be proposed by two-thirds of the states, which is a way for the states to bypass Congress in bringing up an Constitutional amendment, but the final step is three-fourths of the states must vote to ratify. That's even more impossible than my afore-referenced impossibility. Add to that the fact that no clause in the Original 7 Articles has ever been repealed by amendment and you have one tall order
Go back to June 2015 when the Donald descended his golden escalator to announce that he was running and eventually win against this amendment being made the Law of the Land and the odds in favor of the Donald's winning at that time would be astonishing. It would be easier to unscramble an egg and get it back into its shell and having the shell intact as the minute the hen laid it.
