Are you referring to the rankings where over 70% of the experts invited refused to participate? Where Richard Nixon ranked #35? Where William Henry Harrison (after a 30-day term) was rated #32? Where the participants were given no guidance other than "pick a number from 1 to 100"? Where Kennedy was able to jump 6 spots since the last such survey with not a word of explanation as to what changed? Where Grant was able to jump 9 places? Again, what changed? It either shows lack of conviction on those participating, or the roster of those participating was so fluid as no give no indication of what the participants will say next year. My guess is that had there been such a survey in 1974 that NIxon would have been in last place - even behind Ford. For Obama, Trump and Biden, history cannot be written according to today's emotions. Even that doesn't explain the rationale for Grant's jump from #26 to #17.
I also was going to point out that it's impossible to get correct historical perspective with current figures, especially if currently in power. And of course you get their own political bias in there. It says more that most Americans dislike both and would have preferred different candidates this time around, according to poll after poll
Why was eeL's accurate statement deleted where he mentioned that historians recently ranked Dump the absolute worst president while Biden ranks in the top one-third?
